DST&A Hosts a Surveying Class for Maryland State Bar Association

DST&A was honored to hold a class at our office for the Real Property Section of the Maryland State Bar Association entitled The Art and Science of Surveying and Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About ALTA/NSPS Surveys. David Thaler provided an overview on surveying and presented some tools of the trade to help the real estate lawyers see exactly how a survey is performed. The goal was to provide an understanding of the art of surveying and demonstrate the relationship between engineering and law.

Our Chief of Surveying, Bernard Linsenmeyer, gave a quick lesson on how to use a Gunter’s Chain. With this knowledge in hand and a beautiful day outside, the lawyers got a chance to practice their skills. The results were impressive and we think each of them would make a great surveyor!
